Yuriy Sandulov compiled and authored Russian Burial Sites in the USA as a tribute to Russian immigrants who left their homeland at different times and under different circumstances. Many of them lived in the United States, making significant contributions to American and world culture. Far from their homeland, they continued the traditions of the great Russian culture by creating works of literature, art, technology, erecting Orthodox churches, and organizing Russian schools. Here they found their last refuge. The Russian-American organization Northern Cross has been studying the history of Russian emigration and the history of Russian cemeteries and burial places for many years.
